Two cases of trephine biopsy were discussed, one of those was a suspected case of myelodysplastic syndrome and the other one was poorly preserved. These were presented by the pathology residents Dr. Nasir Ahmed and Dr. Nusrat Jahan Farzana. It was followed by a lively deliberation by the Chair of the Department of Hematology, Prof. Md. Salauddin Shah. Other teachers from both the department (Pathology and Hematology) also imparted their valuable insigths.
